The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCY&S) cricketers will take on Floodlights XI tonight at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) ground, Bourda, bowling off at 6pm. The 25-over softball cricket encounter will see the likes of the Minister of Sport, Dr. Frank Anthony, leading the team which includes a few well-known sports personalities.
According to a press release, the ministry’s team is eager to have a go against the powerful Floodlights team, who will be using this game as a practice match as they prepare for Florida Cup 2010. All prizes are sponsored by Managing Director of Trophy Stall in the Bourda Market and City Mall, Ramesh Sunich.
The MCY&S XI will also include the likes of Alfred King, Neil Kumar and Carl Brandon while the Floodlights XI team which will be led by Surendra Nauth, will include the likes of Bedi Ramjewan, Patrick Khan and Imtiaz Mohammed.
