Farmer’s attempts to reap justice in vain

La Grange, West Bank Demerara farmer Safir Ali Warisali has been plagued by a different kind of pest, which he says has repeatedly looted him of his produce over the last eight months, A visibly-frustrated Warisali, 56, told Stabroek News that although he has made several repeated complaints to police, no effort has been made to arrest the assailant, whom he says is a “known troublemaker” and “freely roams the area on a daily basis.”

GFF threatens Riddim Squad with suspension over lawsuit move

By Rawle Toney Following the announcement by former president of Riddim Squad Football Club, Eton Cordis that he will be taking the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) to court after he had been stabbed at the Tucville ground three weeks ago during a football match between Riddim Squad and Pele, the GFF is now threatening to suspend the club if the lawsuit goes through.
