Last Tuesday, a GPF release issued yesterday said, police ranks comprising members of the Junior Officers’ Course No.19, Cadet Officers of the Force, and Training Instructors and other staff members of the Felix Austin Police College benefited from an Integrity Training Programme conducted by Peter Terence Leonard of St. Lucia.
During his presentation Leonard focused on the impact of corruption or lack of integrity on the economy while citing examples of integrity and ethical violations in a police setting; factors that influence integrity; and the benefits of integrity. Leonard was here on business at the time he was invited to conduct the training session.
Leonard, according to GPF, is a former Comptroller of Customs and Excise in St. Lucia and currently holds the position of Director of Trade Facilitation in the Ministry of External Affairs, International Trade and Investment there. He has facilitated various training workshops on behalf of the St. Lucia Customs Department, the International Monetary Fund, the University of the West Indies and the Caribbean Customs Law Enforcement Council.
