The company in a press release this week said the event was planned with tourist and locals in mind saying that it is “an opportunity to showcase high quality [local] performances”. Among those slated to perform are Cyd Hooper of “We Linkin” fame, Dennis Grant out of Canada, a performer who sings under the name ‘Killer Miller’ and Beverly Williams among others.
According to the company, the event is a way of giving back as well as introducing to the public the Dynamos Band. “This is a band that plays a variety of music which is boosted with the availability of the Cinderella’s Music Studios, which has recorded over 40 original songs done by local artistes over the past five months,” the release said.
Further, the company said it has joined the Guyana Calypso Association to establish a calypso tent for Mash 2010. It said also that Dynamos Band will take its performances to the Tucville Community on November 29 and later to the lawns of the National Museum on December 22.
