Designers House have come onboard the Kashif and Shanghai organization with the main objective of raising the concession standards in the 20th anniversary tournament which kicks off on December 13 at the National Stadium.
Managing Director of Designers House, Marlon Williams, Deputy Project Manager, Sherman Austin who is also Co-Director of the Kashif and Shanghai Organization, yesterday disclosed the reasons for enhancing the quality of the tournament. It was disclosed yesterday that the company is now officially the franchise holder for concessionary rights to all vending for the duration of the tournament which is set to encompass 10 days of riveting football action. Williams said “our intent is to have vending done in an effective and efficient manner which means there will be a sufficient variety in a specific location.”
All vendors will be dealt Concession Passes after submission of their registration and the passes are to be worn in a conspicuous location.
They will have to keep with the international vending standard which states “all vendors and/or agents must use tables, sandwich boards, etc. to display all goods for sale.
No item should be displayed on the ground or on carpeting.” All applications for registration of vending should be submitted to Designers House, Unit 207 Harbour Bridge Mall no later than December 4 after which no application will be accepted. “Since this is a grooming process so we are pleading to the vendors to indulge with us to keep the rules intact,” Williams added. Later in the day, Financial Director of Rusal Bauxite company, Ramdeo Kumar, handed over a sponsorship cheque on behalf of the company to the K&S Organization in the head office of the company.
This is the company’s fourth year since embarking on the journey with the organization and the company has indicated their intention of continuing the partnership.
“The Rusal Company has been operating in Region 10 and since they have a genesis with the area we thought it would be fitting to get involved in football since we also sponsor a team from Linden,” Kumar stated.
He said that depending on how the economic system functions next year they hope to make a bigger contribution.
