A labourer accused of carnally knowing a ten-year-old girl was remanded to prison when he appeared at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Ginesh Khan, 42, was not required to plead to the indictable charge of carnally knowing a girl under the age of 15 and was remanded to prison by Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin.
It is alleged that between August 1 and August 31 last year, Khan had carnal knowledge of the minor. The matter was reported and following investigations, he was arrested and charged. He will appear in court again on January 20.
