The national U-20 team was scheduled to oppose Trinidad’s Joe Public on the undercard of the Guyana Football Federation’s Super League final which takes place today at the Providence National Stadium.
But, according to a release from the GFF, the Trinidad team is unable to come “for related security reasons,” relating to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Conference now underway in the Twin-Island Republic.
The Under-20 team will now face a combined Super League side in the opening game of the triple header from 15:00 hours.
The third place playoff between Sunburst Camptown and Milerock Football Club of Linden will get on the way at 17:00 hours and then at the grand finale from 19:15 hours which will see Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United clashing with the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) in the GFF Super League final.
