The National Commission on Disability yesterday kicked off its activities for National Disability Week with a special student symposium and Awards ceremony at the Critchlow Labour College. Yesterday’s symposium saw students from three schools participating in a competition surrounding this year’s theme of “Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and their Communities around Guyana”. Those schools which participated are Diamond Primary, South Ruimveldt Park Primary and Apex Academy.
International Day for Persons with Disability will be celebrated tomorrow, December 3.
