Dear Editor,
I was wondering when someone would have seen it fit to comment on the misguided efforts of the Guyana Football Federation to ban Riddim Squad from the Kashif and Shanghai tournament.
Mr Colin Klass and company need to hold their heads in shame. A man was almost killed at a football game that the GFF had given approval to stage.
By giving its approval the GFF had signed on to an agreement that there would have been adequate security, among other things at the game. There was not. Now, the GFF wants to turn around and punish the club that was once led by Mr Cordis allegedly because he is seeking justice in the courts of law. If this is not insanity then nothing is. We need to hear from the Kashif and Shanghai organization what their position is on this saga, and as an earlier letter writer said, if Riddim Squad is banned then other clubs should withdraw from the competition.
Yours faithfully,
Mark Arthur
