BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Anxious for a recall to the Barbados team for the upcoming West Indies first-class season, wicket-keeper/batsman Patrick Browne smashed one of two centuries in the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) Division One on Saturday.
Browne, omitted from the Barbados squad for the recent WICB President’s Cup, advertised solid form in scoring 121 for St Catherine against UWI at the Bayfield Ground.
Shamarh Brooks, who captained the West Indies Under-19s to the ICC Youth World Cup last year, also recorded a century, getting 107 not out for Spartan against LIME.
The 27-year-old Browne, who played five One Day International (ODI) matches last year – against South Africa and Australia — for West Indies, cracked 10 fours and three sixes and guided St Catherine to 276 for nine.
