Merlin Udho new ambassador to Suriname

Guyana has appointed a new Ambassador to Suriname. The new diplomat, Merlin Udho, arrived in the neighbouring country on November 20 and assumed the position on November 23 following the presentation of her credentials to the authorities there, Foreign Affairs Minister Carolyn Rodrigues confirmed yesterday.

Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday ordered that two men, who are accused of breaking into HBTV Channel 9 and stealing several video cameras and computers, and another man, who was allegedly found with some of the stolen items, be remanded to prison.
