Wilkins served for over 30 years on the WICB’s behalf, providing dedicated and invaluable service to successive generations of West Indies players and administrators.
“He was the friendly face on one’s arrival in the United Kingdom, mentor to many players and the solver of every problem,” the WICB said in a release.
“Geoff was a man who totally identified with West Indies Cricket and whose efforts on its behalf went far beyond normal bounds.”
Wilkins is survived by his wife, Jackie.
