The unrepresented James Spooner of Lot 71 Louisa Row and Bent Street was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge of buggery when he last appeared in the court.
It is alleged that on December 4, he buggered the teenaged boy.
On Wednesday at the court Spooner was again cautioned, this time by Prosecutor Stephen Telford for laughing while the teenage boy was recounting the incident before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson. He had been cautioned by the magistrate when he had first appeared in court and while the boy’s mother was giving her recount of the incident.
Spooner is expected to make another court appearance on January 18.
