Gilhuys said Western Tigers will embark on a massive youth drive this year and part of the funds presented will go towards that programme.
He said the club’s intention was to have U-11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 teams which will serve as feeders to the senior team.
“Next year the emphasis will be on youth because most of our players are approaching the age of 30 and we need to garner the youths to take over in a structured manner,” said Gilhuys.
