Ansa McAl Trading continued its tradition of ushering in the New Year by presenting mothers who gave birth to the first babies of 2010 with hampers. In a press release the company said this is the 11th year it has distributed hampers.
Brands Manager Marco Kreuter said celebrating with new mothers is one of the best ways to start a new year. This year, seven Cheekies Cloth Soft hampers were given out along with one 20’s pack of Cheekies Cloth Soft diapers to mothers. At the Georgetown hospital the first baby was born to 17-year-old Dewon Mingo of Hyde Park, Timehri at 1.49 am. Fabia Jardine, 27, of West Ruimveldt gave birth at 2.45 am and Sherry Ann Henry and Onica Andrews then gave birth.
At Prashad’s Hospital the only baby born on New Year’s Day was to Sharda Prashad of Eccles, EBD. At Woodlands Hospital Adulli Bascom, 35, of D’Urban Street, Wortmanville and Petra Gonsalves of Farm, Mahaicony, gave birth.
