Lakeram Delima, the 18-year-old cyclist who was involved in an accident on the LBI Public Road, ECD is still in an unconscious state on a life support machine in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Georgetown Public Hospital.

Delima was hit by a vehicle on Thursday night while crossing the road.

His mother said he had left home to go and buy phone cards and when he didn’t return she and her husband went to search for him. It was while searching she learnt of the accident.

Meanwhile, the driver involved is said to be on $50,000 station bail and is to report to the police station every day. Statements were taken from the driver.  Investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
