A man was injured during a drive-by shooting early yesterday morning while walking along Regent Street.
Paul Mars, 22, of Cross and Leopold Streets, Georgetown is nursing a gunshot wound to the upper left at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).
Police, in a press statement yesterday, said they are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at about 3.10 am yesterday on Regent Street. Mars, police said, was walking along the street “when it is reported that a motor vehicle drove up alongside and a man discharged a round which struck him [Mars] to his upper left arm, and the vehicle sped away.”
Mars, GPH said in a release, was taken to the accident and emergency unit at about 4.27am yesterday. He was admitted a patient to the hospital.
