Eugene Frank was yesterday placed on bail in the sum of $70,000 when he appeared at the Georgetown Magis-trate’s Court to answer to a charge of exhibiting obscene photos of a female.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge when acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson read it to him. The charge stated that between April 15 and September 16 last year, at Grove, East Bank Demerara, he knowingly and without lawful authority exposed pictures to the public of oral sex acts by a female.
His lawyer Trenton Lake had applied for bail for him on the grounds that he posed no risk of flight and that he would not interfere with any witnesses in the matter.
However, the prosecution stated that the female had agreed to take the pictures using his phone but that Frank exposed it to the public by transferring it to some of his friends’ phones.
The magistrate then ordered that Frank return to court on February 19.
