In a press release the party said it believes that 2009 emphasised the need for citizens to live, work and play in unity.
It also revealed that there must be order in national affairs so as to minimise the wastage of resources at all levels: governmental, corporate and individual and that politicians and leaders must ensure governance that exhibits qualities of tolerance, harmony and honesty.
“We must promulgate that which will realise a leaner, greener, and cleaner approach in our daily lives. We have far too long seen and lived a mismatch between what we argue for and for what we actually do,” the party said.
It said too both leaders and the people must proceed to right the many wrongs taking notice of inconvenient truths and not spurn ideas when they differ from the group’s position.
“A successful Guyana can only emerge when there is confidence in its institutions and in its economy,” the AFC said, adding that a start in that direction will only come about when all citizens can develop successful careers right here.
