Cabinet, including President Bharrat Jagdeo, is to begin an outreach in Region Six today that will cover 30 communities.
The engagements would focus on garnering inputs into the planning process for this year’s budget- which is being finalized, Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Dr Roger Luncheon said.
At a media briefing yesterday, Luncheon said the teams would also be addressing three cross-cutting matters on government effectiveness namely improving accountability, obtaining value for money in public procurement and improving the delivery of public goods and services within the communities.
President Jagdeo would be meeting residents at Crabwood Creek, Black Bush Polder and Port Mourant following which he will host a press conference in New Amsterdam.
The statutory cabinet meeting will also be held in the Berbice town.
