The Alliance For Change (AFC) is calling on its members and the nation to assist with its disaster relief effort for earthquake-hit Haiti.
In a press release the AFC said the situation is one of acute and widespread disaster where millions of people including children have been rendered homeless. “Haitians, already the poorest of our Caribbean sisters and brothers, have now been visited with another devastating blow from which it will be difficult to recover unless we all join hands in a united effort to give them our assistance,” AFC.
The AFC said it is currently establishing the Haiti Relief Fund and is therefore calling on its members, supporters and all citizens to extend prayers and support to Haiti. It also urges the public to make monetary contributions to its efforts at the party’s Georgetown office located at 77 Hadfield Street, Werk-en-Rust. Interested persons can also call the AFC office at telephone number 226-0181 for more information.
