Taylor, who was represented by attorney Velma Hylton when he appeared in the Santa Cruz Petty Sessions Court, was given a new trial date of February 9.
The 25-year-old was arrested on December 30 last year after verbally abusing a police sergeant in a bar in Junction, in the southern parish of St Elizabeth.
Reports said Taylor launched an assault on the officer after police entered the bar to warn the bartender about keeping the establishment open beyond the stipulated hours.
Taylor was arrested and subsequently released on JAM$20 000 (US $224) bail.
A resident of the parish, Taylor has taken 82 wickets from 29 Tests. He returned home early from the recent tour of Australia after sustaining a hip injury during the first Test in early December.
