The Trinidadian took one for 29 in Tasmania’s innings of 160 for eight off their allotted 20 overs after being sent in at the MCG.
Bravo then scored an unbeaten nine as Victoria marched to 161 for one off 16.5 overs, to win the game with time to spare before a record crowd of 43 125.
Openers Brad Hodge and Aaron Finch combined to ensure Bravo’s role would be limited, by posting a hasty 147 off 91 balls for the first wicket.
The right-handed Hodge slammed 90 from 56 balls with six fours and five sixes while Finch carved out an equally attractive, unbeaten 58 from 39 balls, which included six fours and two sixes.
Earlier, opener Tim Paine hammered 61 from 32 balls with eight fours and two sixes, as Tasmania put up a competitive total.
He added 58 for the second wicket with Ed Cowan who stroked 23 but their dismissals sent the innings into decline as Clint McKay (2-24) and Dirk Nannes (2-26) claimed two wickets apiece.
In the preliminary final, Victoria will now face the winner of today’s clash between Queensland and Western Australia.
