The President and Central Executive of the CIOG and the Muslim community sympathise with the people of Haiti and appeal to the public to contribute to relief efforts.

In a press release CIOG President Al Hajj Fazeel M Ferouz said he prays God will alleviate the sufferings of the nation of Haiti. He said too along with the Government of Guyana, the CIOG is appealing for contributions which can be sent to its Woolford Avenue office.
