Minister of Culture Youth and Sport Dr. Frank Anthony and a representative from the International tennis Federation (ITF) will be the guest speakers at the February 8 annual general meeting of the Guyana Lawn Tennis Association (GLTA).
The event will take place at the Georgetown Club from 4.30pm.
According to a release from the association, International Tennis Federation (ITF) Regional Representative, Anthony Jeremiah and Dr. Anthony will each address the gathering.
President of the GLTA Christopher Ram is also expected to deliver an address.
According to a release “only the authorized representative of clubs in good standing and members of the executive will be permitted to vote and be eligible for election.”
Clubs have until February 4 to submit their club dues and nominations.
During the statutory session, the report of the executive, the re-election of the auditors for the year ending December 31, 2010 and the election of office bearers for the new year will take place following which the new executive will be installed.
