A 15-year-old schoolgirl has been missing from home since last Friday and her mother feels the suicidal death of her father five months ago may be a contributing factor.
Alana Blair was last seen around 8 pm at her Alberttown home when she was scolded for leaving the building without permission.
In tears yesterday her mother Alexis said that every since the death of her husband last August, “I gettin lots of problems with her,” adding that the teen has been making wrong choices.
She recalled that last Friday she left the home to go to a funeral leaving Blair to look after a younger sister. When she returned home the teen was not there but she turned up around 8 pm and was scolded.
According to the mother she subsequently discovered the girl missing. She searched the area and several places where she was known to be, fruitlessly.
“I want her to come back home,” she said fighting back tears.
Anyone who may have seen Blair could contact her mother on 670-1084 or the nearest police station.
