The American Univer-sity of Peace Studies (AUPS) has started a weekend programme of films.
Today, it screens Go Naked in the World (1961), directed by Ranald McDougal and starring Gina Lollobrigida, Anthony Franciosa and Ernest Borgnine.
According to a press release, if anyone needs to see why classic Hollywood films from the 1960’s back, surpass the repetitive, heavy breathing and dizzy productions prevalent today, Go Naked in the World is a film that gives ample proof. Helped by the use of Italy’s bold and out-spoken famous actress Gina Lollobrigida, this is one film that defines what a meaningful movie is.
Tomorrow’s film is Come September, directed by Robert Mulligan and starring Rock Hudson, Gina Lollobrigida and Bobby Darrin. Another 1961 film, this comedy classic tells the story of a millionaire who unwillingly becomes a chaperone to young uninvited guests.
According to the release, the public is invited and admission is free; all films start at 5.30 pm. AUPS is located at 135 Sheriff Street Campbelville (at the corner with Fourth Street).
