A 43-year-old man is now a patient of the Georgetown Public Hospital after he stepped into the path of Fire Service vehicle on Monday.
Speaking from his hospital bed in the Male Surgical Ward of the hospital, Melroy Sealy of Beterverwagting, ECD said that he misjudged the vehicle. He said that he walked into the path of the vehicle while it was coming around a corner. Sealy said he was at the bus park walking when the incident occurred.
Meanwhile, a release from the hospital said that Sealy arrived at the Accident and Emergency Unit at 11:25 hours after he was hit by a Guyana Fire Service vehicle while he was crossing America Street.
Sealy sustained injuries to both his legs with and said that the right one is broken.
