Wesson Hinds was not required to enter a plea to the charge of trafficking in narcotics when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
The charge alleged that on September 14 last year, at Da Silva Street, Kitty, he trafficked in 2.5 grammes of cocaine by selling the drug to constable Forde.
A summary trial was conducted into the case where several witnesses were cross-examined.
The magistrate found that Hinds had given an unsworn statement which corroborated what the witnesses in the matter had told the court.
Prosecutor Shellon Daniels closed the case yesterday shortly before the magistrate made her ruling.
