Two men are currently nursing chop wounds at the Georgetown Public Hospital, following separate incidents on Friday.
One man received his injuries while parting a fight and the other after a misunderstanding with another male.
According to a release from the hospital, a 37-year-old Houston, East Bank Demerara man was rushed to the Accident and Emergency Ward at 00:25 hrs, after he was chopped on his left hand while reportedly parting a fight.
Meanwhile, a 31-year-old North Haslington, East Coast Demerara man was rushed to the hospital at 5.05 am, with chops to his neck and both hands. The release said that the man had a misunderstanding with another male when who chopped him.
Both men had to undergo surgery for their wounds.
