The mason was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge of robbery under arms when Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton read it to him.
The allegation is that on February 9, at Shell Road, Agricola, East Bank Demerara, he used a gun to rob Sherwin Harding of three gold chains, a cell phone and a quantity of cash, with a total value of $260,000.
He was represented by attorney-at-law Mortimer Codette who had applied for bail for him on the grounds that his client was not in the area at the time of the incident.
The prosecution objected to the bail application and had requested that Wiltshire be remanded to prison.
Wiltshire is expected to make another court appearance on February 24.
