A man was shot in his thigh during a robbery at Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara on Thursday night.
Police said that Leroy Rhobe was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital. Investigations revealed that Rhobe; Andy Moore, 25, and Donna Davis, 54, all of Bagotstown, were sitting in front of a shop when two men armed with handguns held them up and took away their personal jewellery, $23 500, and a cell phone and escaped, the police said in a press statement.
The incident occurred at around 8:15 on Thursday night. During the incident Rhobe scuffled with one of the men and was shot to his left upper thigh. He was taken to the hospital, where he was admitted.
