Two ranks of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) were last evening rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital  (GPHC) following a parachuting mishap.

One of the injured ranks, Mark Alexander was admitted to hospital with injuries to his spine and hand, while the other rank was reportedly treated and sent away. Stabroek News was unable to ascertain the name of the second rank.

This newspaper understands that the mishap occurred in the vicinity of Camp Ayanganna late yesterday afternoon.
