WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – New Washington Wizards guard/forward Josh Howard will miss the rest of the season because of a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee, the team said on their website (www.nba.com/wizards) yesterday.
Howard was hurt in the first quarter of Monday’s win over the Chicago Bulls.
He was traded to the Wizards by the Dallas Mavericks as part of a seven-player deal on Feb. 13.
Howard averages 14.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in four games with the Wizards.
