The trio was not required to enter a plea to the joint indictable charge of carnal knowledge when acting chief magistrate Melissa Robertson read it to them.
It is alleged that on February 18, the trio had carnal knowledge of the 12-year-old girl.
They were represented by attorney-at-law Paul Fung-a-fat, who requested that the magistrate take note that his clients were all boys. He later applied for reasonable bail for them.
However, Prosecutor Stephen Telford objected to the bail applications on the grounds of the seriousness and prevalence of the offence.
The trio is expected to make another court appearance on March 10.
