In a press release the MYL said over 1400 years ago Hazrat Muhammad, was born the Prophet of Islam who later changed mankind’s way of thinking about the recognition of God and His commandments. His life was a means in which rulers and subjects copied the art of leadership, nation building, family orientation, political stability, economic reforms and last but not least spiritual elevation.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi or Youman Nabi is the day held in observance of his coming. The release said in many ways the situation in the world today reflects similar situations as when the Prophet of Islam came into the world therefore the solution for much of these current problems will lie in emulating the life of the prophet and how he solved the problems in that age.
The MYL said the contributions of the Prophet Muhammad spans every age and every period of civilization on earth. “He liberated women and provided a system to maintain stability in the home, society and the world. He taught mankind how to preserve their [honour] and property and infused in them the understanding of respect, compassion, love and concern for each other,” it said.
