Eleven contestants made it through to the quarterfinals in the Cellink KidStage workshop
According to a news press release, Amanda David, Alliah Corlette, Aaliyah Rosheuvd, Kyle Archer, Melissa Benjamin and Tiffany McAlmont were selected and they are expected to perform today at the Theatre Guild. Also, Alphius Bookie, Jeremiah Williams, Navendra Singh, Maria Collymore, Akeeda Whaul, Tamara Innis, Stefforn Ageda and Dexter Nelson made it to the second quarterfinals. “I feel excited, overwhelmed and motivated that I am selected in the top 10,” Whaul was quoted as saying, while adding that the workshop has helped her to realise her dreams.
She also said she hopes to improve her vocal performances.
Every week a panel of judges selects participants from auditions to move on to the preliminary round.
Last Saturday, the audience gave thunderous applause to Andre Duesbury for his sterling performance and song lyrics for a piece titled “Teacher Teacher.”
