Defending champions Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United will be looking to continue their unbeaten run when they oppose East Coast side Victoria Kings this afternoon as the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Super League continues with five matches around the country.
The Alpha/Victoria Kings clash will be the first game of a double header at the Enmore Community Centre ground, East Coast of Demerara starting at 14:00 hours.
Alpha United, who scored a 1-0 win over Seawall of West Demerara in their opening encounter, will be seeking to maintain their 100 percent undefeated run in the league.
The reigning champions will have in their line up Howard Lowe, Philbert Moffatt, Quincy Madramootoo, Dwight Peters, Edison Gomes and Ronson Williams while Seawall United will be spearheaded by Clayton Wilson, Kwesi De Souza, Winston Pompey and Aubrey Gibson.
The feature match of the double header at Enmore will bring together home side Buxton United against Georgetown-based Sunburst Camptown at 16:00 hours.
National striker Nigel ‘Power’ Codrington, Orlando Gilgeous, Lance Rolston, Troy ‘Bugsy’ Prescod and Richie Richards will pilot Camptown’s attack.
For the unbeaten East Coast side Buxton, Charles Critchlow, Keoma Sullivan and Clive Andries will lead the charge.
Bartica’s Liquid Gold will square off with Bakewell Top XX of Linden at the Bartica Community Centre ground with the home side being in search of their first win following their 0-1 defeat to the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) in their opening encounter.
Top XX had beaten Kings in their opening match 2-0.
Kick off is at 16:00 hours.
Over at the Uitvlugt Community Centre ground in West Demerara, home side Seawall will take on Linden side Milerock starting at 16:00 hours.
Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground will be the venue for the clash between GDF and West Berbice side Rosignol United.
Rosignol United will be looking to rebound following their heavy 4-1 lost at the hands of Camptown.
Kick off is at 18:00 hours.
Meanwhile the GFF Under-17 Inter-Association competition gets underway today at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground with Berbice opposing East Bank at 4pm.
