The Passion Fruit will take centre stage on Saturday when Healthy Choices holds its second Market Day at its Robb and Oronoque streets location from 8 am.
According to a press release from Healthy Choices, the event, which will also include a takeaway lunch, will feature Passion Fruit wine from Pandama Resort, Passion Fruit jelly and Passion Fruit ice-cream.
Dill, Basil and Spearmint herbs will be on display and patrons can sample Sweet Basil and Spearmint teas.
Among the items that will be available at the market are handmade ethnic jewellery from Zomie Designs, Jets Noni drinks and concentrates, green vegetables, ground provision, fresh fruit juices, whole wheat bread, garlic-flavoured rolls and snacks. From 1 pm to 3 pm, the release said, children of all ages are invited to “experience relaxation” through colouring mandalas for peace with artist Tracy Douglas. However, space for this activity is limited and patrons are advised to call 223-7520 to register. Meanwhile, the takeaway lunch menu offers a choice of fish or chicken with rice and pasta salad and this can also be booked ahead of time by calling the same number.
