The selectors of the Berbice Cricket Board have called up 30 players to prepare for possible selection on the Berbice senior female team for the upcoming Inter County cricket tournament.
The squad includes three players with experience of playing for the West Indies in Shemaine Campbell, Tremayne Smartt and Erva Giddings.
The remainder of the squad comprises: Sabrina Munroe, Tracey Miller, Jacquelin Singh, Katana Mentore, Tessa Park, Melanie Henry, Hermala Sewdat, Nirmala Sewdat, Steffi Rodney, Natasha Gangoo, Nikita Toney, Shenella Mc Bean, Teneisha Leonard, Shauna Park, Onika Tello, Phaffiana Millington, Ceylon Daniels, Kimberly King, Sarita Kumar, Alisah Francis, Sherica Campbell, Diana Prashad, Marisa Fraser, Angela De Jonge, Nagama Boodhoo, Anastasia Long and Sue Ann Lindie.
All players are asked to report to the Port Mourant Cricket ground on Saturday at 10:30 hrs with white cricket uniforms.
Carol Nurse will manage the team with Winston Smith serving as coach.
Meanwhile, the 27 players invited by the Demerara selectors to participate in trial matches for the same tournament will be in action today and tomorrow at the Police Sports Club ground Eve Leary from 10am each day. At the end of the trials the Demerara team to participate in the upcoming Inter County tournament will be named.
Players for today’s match will be led by Deanie Sewnarine and Joann Van Sertima.
