The African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church will convene its 95th session of the Guyana/Suriname Annual Conference on Thursday.
In a press release the church said the conference will be held from Friday until Sunday under the leadership of the 93rd bishop in the line of succession the Rt Bishop Louis Hunter Sr, a native of Kannapolis, NC and Ingrid Hunter, Missionary Supervisor, a native of Washington DC.
The agenda for the conference entails an opening service and Holy Communion on Thursday followed by the organisation of the conference and later the Welcome Night service. On Friday the conference continues and adjourns around noon, making way for the Missionary Convocation where the women will lead the session. The Missionary Candlelight Service and stoling ceremony will be held in the evening.
The release said the youth will prepare for their Christian Education Service and Extravaganza on Saturday and host the programme on Sunday. The meeting will then conclude with the Closing Service and appointment of pastors.
