It is alleged that Adams, a bartender, robbed Edda Nrz De Andre of one gold bracelet valued at $200,000. The VC is the wife of the Brazilian Ambassador.
Police Prosecutor Inspector Stephen Telford asked for bail to be denied based on the seriousness of the offence and the appearance of the defendant before the court on a similar matter recently.
A piece of the bracelet has since been recovered.
Bail was refused and the matter has been transferred to Court Two for statements on March 30.
