The East Coast Cricket Board selectors are expected to name the team to compete in the Demerara Cricket Board-organised Inter-County tournament today following the completion of a second trial match.
The Inter-County tournament commences Thursday.
Twenty Under-19 players were shortlisted following the East Coast Cricket Board’s (ECCB) first trial match on Saturday at the Lusignan Community Centre ground.
Those players shortlisted were: Delroy Charles, Arif Habib, Steve Ramdass, Poorandra Jaigobin, Amir Mohamed, Yuvraj Dyal, Darrel Fredericks, Kevin Singh, Denesh Mangal, Deryl Ross, Azad Mohamed, Royston Simon, Daniel Gravesande, Leon D’aguar, Navendra Budhai, Alex Chisholm, Gajanand Sukhnanan, Errol Williams, Navin Singh and Shiveshwar Lall.
East Coast will come up against East Bank in a knockout fixture at the Lusignan ground Thursday.
The ECCB has already named Hardeo Sattaur and Latchman Yadram as the coaches of the team while Raymond Barton will manage the side.
