The letter by Ms Manbodh in SN March 22, 2010 on Queenstown certainly made interesting reading and it seems as though she has had some success so far. Unfortunately this has not been my experience as I have been trying unsuccessfully over the last ten years or more to have the relevant authorities remove an illegal bush truck business being carried on next to my property. I have spoken and written to more people than Ms Manbodh mentioned but it seems to me that the businessman has connections in high places and no positive action has ever been taken. It is only a matter of time before these parked trucks cause a serious accident or regretfully a death.
Last month I spoke to and wrote a letter to the Chairman of the CHPA and am looking forward to a positive reply. Perhaps the man above will be our only salvation.
