The eagerly anticipated game between the arch rivals ended with Ravens demolishing Pacesetters 63-48 in the opening game of the night.

In another Third Division league encounter, Macabees went on to pinch a two point win over Bounty Colts 74-72 while the Open matchup between Courts Pacesetters and East/West Fire saw East/West’s flames being doused  by Pacesetters 52-72.

In the Third Division encounter, however, Ravens not only settled the ‘Setters’ but they also ended the debate over who was Georgetown’s number one team.

Ravens won with the help of Dellon Davidson’s 25 points and Tyrone Hamid’s 16.

The game see-sawed its way to the end of the first half and Pacesetters were up by two at the beginning of the second.

But Ravens came out at half time with a vengeance and restricted Pacesetters to only five points in the third quarter and from that point Ravens flew to victory as Pacesetters went downhill.

Junior national player Richard Mohandatt, playing with an injury, courageously top-scored with 12 points for  Pacesetters  with Travis Williams, Keith Tute and Drexel Amsterdam scoring eight points each.

It rained three pointers in the game between Bounty Colts and Macabees with Kevin Sunich of Bounty Colts dropping five three pointers in his topscore of 15 points while Oneca Fraser chipped in with 14.

Hodayah Stewart and Britiel Younge, who scored 18 and 14  points respectively, traded baskets with Colts until Macabees took the lead which they held onto  until the seconds expired.

The atmosphere was calm for the Open game between Courts Pacesetters and East/West Fire.

The game was a piece of cake for Pacesetters and they wasted little time in letting their fans know.

They led the game from beginning and ended with a 20 point lead as Kurt Elias, Stephon Gillis, and Hugh Arthur contributed 18, 16 and nine points respectively.

Kester Gomes of East/West Fire led that team’s scoring with 12 points.
