Guyana’s Adrian Spellen gained a silver medal at the taekwondo competition of the South American Games.

Competing in the men’s 87kg class, Spellen lost to Brazil’s Douglas Marcelino who took the gold with Carlos Eduardo of Chile and Juan Carlos Diaz of Venezuela the bronze medal winners.
