Simone King also known as Diane De Nobrega was yesterday read twelve more counts of fraudulent conversion in a motorcar scam.  She pleaded not guilty to all twelve charges.

King, 30, of Good Hope, East Coast Demerara had been previously charged on February  17 with eight counts of fraudulent conversion after she allegedly made use of over $2 million  she  had obtained from several persons to whom she was supposed to supply cars.

On March 5, she was read four additional charges of fraudulent conversion.

When she appeared in court on February 18, she was not required to plead to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of $1 million on January 19.

De Nobrega is the owner of the Queenstown A&J Auto Sales Company. She along with Tulsie Persaud was charged on January 11 and 12 with four counts of obtaining money by false pretence when they allegedly took large sums of money from persons on different days by falsely pretending that they were in a position to obtain US visas for them, knowing same to be false.  That matter is set for return on April 22 for statements.
