A 29-year-old man is now an involuntary patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was prevented from boarding a flight at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri by police who suspected that he had swallowed illegal drugs.
The man, who has told authorities he is Trinidadian, was bound for London when he passed through the scanner yesterday morning at the airport and police observed something suspicious in his stomach. He was questioned and later taken to the hospital where he was a patient up to last evening.
