Amelia’s Ward Jets and Victory Valley Royals recorded wins in the final preliminary round games of the Linden Amateur Basketball Association Under 21 tournament on Wednesday at the Mackenzie Sports Club hardcourt.
In the first game of the double header, Amelia’s Ward Jets defeated South Star New Ballers 49-47 after leading 27-23 at half time.
For the Jets, Jamaal Watson and Marlon Persaud scored 14 points each while Timon Fraser was the only Ballers player to reach double figures with 10 points.
Meanwhile, in the second encounter, Wismar Pistons were outplayed by Victory Valley Royals 17-166.
The Pistons were down by 50 points at halftime (55-5). Theodore Tappin and Chris Williams scored 29 points each for the Royals while Marlon Pollydore contributed 27 points and Marvin Russell 16.
The semi final games will take place tomorrow at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court with Kashif and Shanghai Kings opposing GTS Bulls at 8pm and Victory Valley Royals will play Retrieve Raiders at 10pm.
