The Alliance For Change in extending warm Easter greetings to all Guyanese has noted that the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ is a reminder that “despite our calamities and difficulties we can be victorious if we persevere and keep our faith in Almighty God.”
“The great message of Easter is therefore hope – hope that makes us have that confidence in God that in His goodness and love we can triumph,” the AFC said in its Easter message.
The party said further that the spiritual lessons offered in the resurrection of Jesus Christ give meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over, no matter what are the present difficulties and circumstances.
The party noted also that in the face of much crime, poverty and other social ills in the country, Guyanese should pursue change for a new beginning.
